We have 3 kitchens and numerous dining options over 5 dining areas and more than 30 conference rooms.
We are looking for a motivated & experienced Head Chef to join us.
We offer a competitive salary up to £42.5k (dependent on experience), uniform, on shift meals and a great work life balance. And, of course, we use fresh ingredients to create memorable food.
About you
You are passionate about food; innovative, creative and organised.
You are keen to get involved in delivering 100% fresh food within budgetary requirements to achieve a healthy GP.
You want a job working where you have responsibility as well as support – and you are looking for a fresh and exciting challenge.
You will not be fazed by working a mixture of split shifts & straight shifts any 5 days out of 7 in line with the business needs.
Responsibilities and Duties
Lead, train, motivate, coach and nurture & develop the team on site.
Set the standard for the quality and consistency of our cuisine and train the team to deliver it.
Maintain costs against revenue, minimising wastage to meet the required Gross Profit
Help create menus which will be seasonal and meet all dietary requirements
Maintain the hygiene and safety standards across all the kitchens following all company procedures, polices and legal requirements.
Complete all company training and update when required
Work closely with the senior Restaurant Team
Build positive and professional relationships with all Heads of Departments
Attend all required meetings and briefings
Qualifications and Skills
Must have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in commercial kitchens – preferably in Conference Centres and Hotels rather than pubs and golf clubs. A logical progression staying within the industry will be viewed favourably.
Formal college training of minimum 2 years also a prerequisite.
Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate required.
