Are you passionate about food and do you have experience of leading a brigade in a calm, deliberate and uncompromising way?  We have a great role available for a talented sous chef who aspires to be part of a team going for Michelin star quality fine dining.  The Chapel restaurant sets upon an ambitious journey to be a destination eatery within the heart of Cornwall and this role with its unique shift pattern is at the heart of the development.  You will need to have an incredible eye for detail, be the master of due diligence and be able to operate within a fast-paced environment to deliver a well-mannered and professional service.  Alongside this you will be dedicated, resilient and enthusiastic with a strong creative flair to use season local produce to deliver a fine dining menu that creates a desire to return.  You will want to be passionate about our core values of being creative in our approach, loyal with our relationships and memorable in our delivery as well as having a strong team ethic so that we build a place to be proud of with an experience that is truly luxury.

We are looking for someone who has hospitality and great service at their core and who can work independently to drive and develop our own exacting standards.  This role will involve collaborative working across the hotel where together we share in our learning and successes in equal measures, supporting the whole team and their development.

To be successful the key qualifications and experience we need or prefer:

• Previous experience of working as a Sous Chef in a 2-rosette kitchen or equivalent (preferably 2 years)
• Strong written and verbal English
• Strong team ethics
• Demonstrable employer loyalty
• Experience of 4- and 5- star hotels (preferred)
